Another club is possible
"LAUT is a project conceived to provide a home for the illegitimate children of Theremin, Buchla, Moog and Kikumoto." This new club was born and presented to society in 2017. It is now the headquarters of a new way to understand electronic music in Barcelona, embracing both the local scene eager to discover new spaces and cutting edge international music offerings from across the continent.
Artists and collectives who have performed at LAUT include: Pye Corner Audio, B12, Kode9, Karen Gwyer, Banned In Vegas, Awesome Tapes From Africa, Ceephax Acid Crew, Angel Molina, Laurel Halo, Philip Sherburne, Kettel, DJ Sotofett, MOM, CPU, Analogical Force, DJ Fett Burger, Whities, Principe Records and Soul Jazz Records Sound System, among other highlights.
LITW has been an integral part of the project’s development, creating a communication strategy for a venue whose music policy is of paramount importance, generating standout content with a fresh approach that seeks to avoid repetitive methodology. This philosophy maintains a club without resident DJs and is echoed by singular monthly artwork and growing support for up and coming graphic artists, thereby providing LAUT with continually innovative music and fresh graphic designs.
