This month, our friends and clients from Poblenou Urban District, together with contemporary art gallery and production studio La Plataforma, commissioned Life in the Woods to curate ‘Urban Talks’.
Cultural agitator Claudia Costa requested a series of talks around art and creativity to provide a driving force for change in our territory. We designed three roundtables dealing with topics such as brands and new audiences, the future of festivals in the current context and urban art.
Below you will find the three ‘Urban Talks’ that were streamed on October 17 live from SIMON100 space in Poblenou, Barcelona. These roundtables were moderated by Frankie Pizá, Creative Director of Primavera Sound and Arcadi Poch, sociocultural explorer specializing in projects in public space. We also had the pleasure of guest speakers Freddy Cardenas from Nike, Raquel Vieira from Lacoste, Kai Landre from the Cyborg Foundation, Alex Nikolov from Loom Collective, Albert Salinas from Lapsus, Rosa Fernández from DICE, Francisco de Pájaro AKA Art is Trash, Xavier Ballaz and Ana Manaia from B-murals and Jordi Montanyà from ‘Institut Municipal del Paisatge Urbà’.
Poblenou Urban District is a hotbed of creativity and these roundtable discussions brought together leading figures to discuss the future of culture.
