Music, CultureLapsus, a cultural platform founded in 2004 by Albert Salinas, focuses on avant-garde electronic music, creativity and technology. As part of its activities, Lapsus organized a festival in collaboration with the Barcelona Contemporary Culture Center (CCCB) for six years.
GOALS
Lapsus designed a boutique festival to avoid overcrowding at the city’s two major festivals, where the experience of audiences and artists was equally important in achieving a solid event concept that puts people first. Every year, a different concept was created under the artistic direction of the Basora studio and narratives were created by LITW, which included the official naming of a 2020 live album by the five-time Grammy-winning Italian-American artist Suzane Cianni, ‘A Sonic Womb’, recorded at the festival.
IDEA
LITW managed the event’s communication campaigns, marketing, press and sponsorships, partnering with brands such as Reebok, Red Bull and IKEA in various editions of the festival, and obtaining hundreds of mentions in prestigious national and international media outlets such as Resident Advisor, The Wire and XLR8R. Occasionally, LITW coordinated with other international events, such as the Unsound Festival in Poland, to project a unique sound discourse from the heart of one of Barcelona’s key cultural infrastructures.
