In 2017, LAUT was introduced as "a project designed for the illegitimate children of Theremin, Buchla, Moog and Kikumoto." This new club, located in Barcelona, was the epicenter of a novel approach to electronic music, hosting local talent and international avant-garde proposals that were more typical of other parts of Europe.
LAUT is part of the renaissance of club culture in Barcelona, where a new generation of small and medium-sized venues has emerged in response to the overwhelming number of large leisure and tourist oriented facilities that have existed in the city since the 80s. It sought to create a space for generating a new electronic music scene, a style with strong roots in the Catalan capital.
LITW was part of the genesis of the project, creating a communication strategy for the venue that emphasized caring for all the content it generated and forcing itself to avoid repetition. This philosophy was reflected in the unique graphic proposals, which were an additional element of support from emerging artists who had something to say from a new perspective every month.
Between 2016 and 2019, we managed the club’s communication, including its digital positioning, outdoor advertising campaigns and PR actions. During this period, some of our favorite artists and collectives, such as Pye Corner Audio, B12, Karen Gwyer, Banned In Vegas, Awesome Tapes From Africa, Ceephax Acid Crew, Angel Molina, Laurel Halo, Philip Sherburne, Kettel, DJ Sotofett, MOM, CPU, Analogical Force, DJ Fett Burger, Whities, Principe Discos and Soul Jazz Records Sound System, performed on the LAUT stage.
