Traza is a next-generation company established with the goal of leading positive change in the highly polluting furniture industry. Their vision extends beyond economic benefits, focusing on the social and environmental advantages of making responsible furniture choices for projects. Their processes aim to harmonise quality and sustainability in buying and selling, with a long-term vision that prioritises the well-being of workers, suppliers, and clients, while being conscious of the impact production processes and materials have on the planet’s resources.

GOALS

Traza emerged from the opportunity to improve existing processes in furniture production, buying, selling, and transportation.

With years of experience in a sector where 80% to 90% of solid waste in the EU is incinerated or landfilled, and less than 10% is recycled, Traza undertakes the task of selecting suppliers who operate with a clear vision of furniture circularity and with the mission to disseminate and transform the industry future.

This field faces new legislation requiring material traceability, set to come into effect in the coming years in the European Union, as well as the challenge of meeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

IDEA

We had the opportunity to participate in the creation of this company from its conception, which allowed us to conduct a thorough analysis of the needs of future clients in the fields of architecture and interior design, as well as the new legal frameworks and studies on the impact of furniture selection for specific projects.

Our task was to create a solid and recognisable brand that would help promote a narrative of change, based on data, where the impact of each purchase could be measured, and where a sustainable space should be connected to the rest of the ecosystem, breaking down the barrier between interior and exterior.

IMPLEMENTATION

Initially, we developed a naming process through several workshops and options, ultimately choosing ‘Traza’. This word refers to the appearance or look of something while also evoking its footprint or trace, and it draws attention to ‘traceability’, referring to the process of a product’s evolution in each of its stages.

Subsequently, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the industry’s reality and developed a narrative process to explain the added value of Traza’s services to its varied audiences. We also designed a complete communication and marketing strategy for the launch of the new brand, considering the customer journey and aiming to meet all their needs.

The design process was carried out by the Barcelona-based branding and graphic design studio Clase, who were responsible for developing the brand, website, and corporate materials. Following this, LITW took charge of Traza’s activation, encompassing both digital positioning and the public relations campaign, guiding the company’s initial steps up to securing its first client.
